Getting political

I never wanted to get into politics. Well, this is not about politics anymore. This is about humanity. I have nothing but hatred for the arrogance of Israel and the Bush administration. The people of Lebanon are suffering by the hundreds of thousands and nobody is saying "Stop!" Children, old people, civilians. Israel continues to rape Southern Lebanon, and we sit and watch. The sad reality of all this is that people are powerless and governments are powerful. Why is there not an immediate system that would allow the people of America to speak out their voice and create an immediate result? When people can immediately vote for the next American Idol, this tells me the technology is available to allow us to vote on major world issues like this.

I heard a funny saying recently. "Circus and Bread". If you keep the people fed and entertained, they will not question your government. This is a saying that comes from Roman times. Oh how relevent it is today. Pop culture has blinded the masses into complacency.

Jews and Arabs have to learn to hold hands and work together to solve this problem. America has become useless. The Bush administration is not a partnet in peace. It's a partner in war. It's an extremist regime. Just like Bush failed all the companies of the past as a CEO, he has failed our nation and the world as a careless arrogant brat.

Okay, enough about this. The more I try to not get political, the more I find myself feeling ashamed and worried that we have two more years of this idiot in the White House. Somebody find a president with a heart next time please.

I understand that you are in California and the great mass of people around you feel like you do. This is may be a shock, but most of the US doesn't agree with you. While you want some way for america to voice its opinion quickly, I don't think you'd like the result.

In addition, the people who disagree with you think their reasons are pretty good, and since you're not a mind reader - no one is - you can't know what those reasons are unless you ask and listen.

I hope things are well with you,

Heather, Wake up and smell the coffee. Don't let Republicanism blind you from being a compassionate human being. Imagine if you were in Lebanon. Sorry, but you're all alone on this one.

Maybe you can turn it into a true reflection from where you closely see it now , a film in Hollywood...An image of an Arab, a voice to all those who feel ashamed. I beleive you have your weapon with all streangth to do it....bas of course after your top priority,i understand, Captain Abu Raed.

I don't want to make political films. I want to make movies that touch people everywhere and movies that make people laugh. I also want to make dark comedies where characters die by mistake for a laugh. As much as I love his work, I have no desire to become Oliver Stone.

War is best undourstood by humans when it's funny...after feelings of shame, bitterness, sadness and frustration,it's hard to actually stop and think, that is the problem today.People have become so used to these every day war crimes that it wont effect their thinking. They escape to fun or try to find the survival in comedy, after a good laugh,it sticks up there and trigers the way pple think.Thats all.....you become your own BEING,we all know your human...at the end you become Amin Matalga.

I've recently come across some of the "short" movie clips that you'd made. And while i was brousing more about your work, i came across this website! Don't u wish more arabs stated their minds? it might not be a cure to the ignorance of our people "US residence" but will at least open their minds to new possibilities. Arabs are always viewed as terrorists, and the people of Ireal as those who retaliate. A smart choice of words, makes us sympathize with Israel... but we the very few of us that are educated.. we know the truth. I second your opinion, we have to vote for a president with a HEART, and not one that is completely controlled by "The" major foreign political power.. being Isreal.

Hi Amin,
I felt compelled to add my 2 cents.
I know your pain. Been there and did that (Cliche). I also know that hate is a very strong word to attach to your feelings. Hate does not improve anything it only destroys. you can see the results of hate around you especially in Lebanon. There are ways you can channel your strong feelings ( vote the guy out of power is one if you diagree with his policies.) Hate should not be one of them. Lots of people here in the US and overseas are very much interested in your progress toward excellence. Most of all me.
Look for answers inside your heart and mind they are there waiting for you to exploit. the medium is film. The message is what your film is about. Save your energies for what you do best and that is films. Speak your mind, heart and feelings through your films.
Know this Amin you are loved.

Hey Amin, You are a retard! This is the first time I have even been on your sight. God forbid that I might not be the only person who disagree's with you politically! Apparently I am not alone on this one. I sincerely feel for the people of Lebanon, I just wish that they could expell the terrorist from their country and their government or they will never have rest.
P.S. I finally watched Farencrap 9/11, what a crock of crap!
P.P.S. Tell Yousef he needs to take us to Jordan for the holiday's!
